LearningChess.net provides free and fee paying online chess educational contents (Courses) for home users and schools. Certain parts may be used by users absolutely free of charge while other parts, including the fee paying contents, may only be used after a voluntary registration. After a user purchases a Course or a Bundle of Courses the user will be able to unlock the relevant content for the period designated at purchase and also indicated on the invoice.
Logging on using a real email address is always necessary for home users and teachers before using the Courses.
It is very important that your email address is kept valid and up-to-date as important information about your account will be sent there.
If this email address is found to be invalid you will not get the full advantage of the site and miss important communication.
It may result in your account being temporarily suspended.
If you want to delete your e-mail address and other personal data provided by you, and stored in LearningChess.net, you are asked to login, select the ’My Account’ menu, and choose the ’Delete Account’ option.
Scholastic Chess Students have to login with their scholastic username and password given by the teacher. Only the teacher can change or set back the forgotten student passwords. A Scholastic Chess account can be deleted only by the teacher, who added the student to LearningChess.net.
Our system is Cloud Based and it can be used from any device capable of running the content of the LearningChess.net website - within the framework of the Fair Use Policy. The educational contents of the system may only be accessed by one device at the same time with one account (user email and password). In the event of concurrent access the later access will automatically overwrite the first access. See more in paragraph Fair Use Policy.
At present a single Course or a Bundle of Courses may be purchased with an existing PayPal account or with a credit card through PayPal as well. Schools are allowed to buy licenses with bank transfer also.
PayPal: After the purchase PayPal sends the user a payment notification and Service Provider sends the user an electronic invoice within a day from the payment. A paper-based invoice sent by post may also be requested subsequently subject to paying USD 2 or EUR 2 administrative cost.

The Service Provider only charges your card or PayPal account once per purchase. There is no recurring invoicing on LearningChess.net.
Fair Use Policy
It is important for Service Provider that all eligible LearningChess.net customers are able to access our Services.
Accordingly, we have devised a Fair Use Policy which applies to the usage of the LearningChess.net, especially the use of logging on data.
The user email or scholastic username/password combination of LearningChess.net shall not be made available for any third party in any circumstances. Service Provider monitors this automatically and continuously. Upon detecting any unauthorised access - whether or not due to intentional data provision or data theft - first the password will be changed and a warning email will be sent.
If this occurs repeatedly for the same user or it is presumed that data leaked to the web, Service Provider may suspend the account until the case is cleared directly with the user. In case of good faith the account will be reactivated with a new password, however, in case of default Service Provider may decide on the permanent exclusion of the user due to a serious breach of the contractual terms and conditions. In this case the user shall be obligated to indemnify Service Provider from any damage, loss, cost or expense which may be incurred by Service Provider as a result of breaching the Fair Use Policy.
Success Guarantee: Users can gain Virtual Rating points in LearningChess.net with each solution in a lesson. Service provider guarantees that these Virtual Rating points will measure progress similar to the official chess ELO rating point system. The guarantee is valid if the user goes through all four courses; plays minimum 50 chess games against the integrated chess program of LearningChess.net and takes part in an official FIDE chess tournament. The guarantee may be drawn if the performance ELO rating achieved in the tournament is lower than the Virtual Rating points achieved in LearningChess.net. In cases like this, users are refunded their subscription fee in conformity with the terms and conditions described at the Money Back Guarantee paragraph.
